I didn't finish the game because, although well designed, something felt off in the gameplay after 10+ hours. The fighting system is really enjoyable and offers a lot of different approaches, but take care with choosing hard difficulty, as it can be pretty punishing ! It seems like every orc chieftain you encounter has a different personality (and aspect), and the whole "Nemesis-system" (the system that allows you to chase orc chiefs for strategic ressources like information or enrolling them in your army, and also be chased by them randomly as you play) is really a pretty good idea, and well implemented. Now for a review of the game, it is absolutely impressive on the character design. (This all happens very quickly, but, it's still what happens). If you are a gamer and love the wonderful world of Tolkiens Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a game for you Witness the alternative story. I mean, the single first action you take in the game after the intro video is to psychologically ensnare an orc, interrogate him, and then make his head explode when he's finally useless to you :) The orcs were designed to be *very* diverse aesthetically, and some of them are already frightening before becoming 'deranged' or coming back from the dead to haunt you (which also adds scars and various deformations to their appearence). If it weren't for this, I'd still give it a 14+ because it is still a very violent game. Games which takes place in the world of J.R.R. The mixing of the moral violence over the strong images can be a bit disturbing in my opinion. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a third-person action role-playing video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. But the thing is, sometimes, when you humiliate an orc chief, he'll become 'deranged', and then will come back with scars that can become quite frightening. I give it 15+ for one single occurence in the game : at some point you are able to humiliate your opponents. If this game where a movie, it would be 18a( the American equivalent of R.) They will love the loose ties and references to the lord of the rings! I can assure you, if they were in my shoes they would give it a straight 5/5. While this game may be a bit more violent than the battlefield series, DON'T CROSS IT OFF YOUR LIST! If your children loves lord of the rings and is close to the age of 13. Games with the same amount of violence are and Battlefield 1. The only time red blood appears is when there is when the orcs hit you, but it is in small amounts and there are never decapitations or dismeberment on humans. There are decapitations on human/monster creatures (orcs) that results in relatively large amounts of blood. Violence comes in a grand and horrific way.

Sure there is some drinking and smoking, but it is so sparsely done that, it is not even worth mentioning. On Archive of Our Own (AO3), users can make profiles, create works and other Content, post comments, give Kudos, create Collections and Bookmarks, participate. Violence is the only factor worth mentioning in this game.
